Our Story
Grown, Not Just Resold
We grow, root, and inspect every rare aroid ourselves — so the variegation you order is the variegation that arrives.
Why We Started Growing Our Own
I bought my first "stable" variegated Monstera from a marketplace listing in 2021. Six weeks after it arrived — barely rooted, packed in a plastic bag with a damp paper towel — every new leaf came in solid green. I'd paid $220 for a plant that was never going to hold its pattern, and the seller had already vanished from the app.
That's the plant Metta exists to fix. We grow and propagate our own aroid collection rather than reselling cuttings we've never seen mature, so every variegated pattern we list has been watched through at least two flushes of new growth before it ships. Each order leaves our nursery rooted, potted, and inspected under a hand lens for pests — packed with a heat or cold pack depending on the season, and backed by a seven-day live arrival guarantee.
We're still a small team, which means we still pot every plant ourselves and answer care questions in our own words, not a script. If a leaf struggles in its first two weeks, tell us — we'd rather send a replacement than watch a rare cultivar you waited months for die on a windowsill.
